Local – Handmade - Art

Shop for unique, locally handmade gifts at the Secret Society Sale, an annual artist-run holiday sale. All vendors participating in this sale will donate 10% of their profits to the Oregon Food Bank, because no one should be hungry.

Sunday, November 30th, 2008 (One Day only!) Secret Society Ballroom 116 NE Russell (next to the Wonder Ballroom) 10 am – 6 pm

Thirty-five artists will feature unique, locally handmade gifts including jewelry, accessories, handbags, crocheted hats, clothing for adults & children, reconstructed apparel, soap & candles, glassware, clay ware, plushies, cards & original artwork at the 4th annual Secret Society Sale.

In the beautiful Secret Society Ballroom local artists will sell their handmade treasures in a relaxed atmosphere where shoppers can chat with artists. This year it just keeps getting better . . . the newly opened Secret Society Lounge will be open from 4-6 pm for drinks and snacks during the sale!

Please join the TechAmerica Oregon HR Committee for a fun and informative networking opportunity at the beautiful new Beaverton facility of the Oregon Food Bank (OFB).

Rick Wills, Retired CEO, Tektronix and current Oregon Food Bank Board Member, along with Gina Taylor, OFB will give an overview of the OFB’s mission, explain the important contributions they are making, and share how other companies in the area are contributing. You will learn about group volunteer options where your employees can build camaraderie while making a big difference for the more than 240,000 people, per month, who eat meals from emergency food boxes. Tours of the facility will also be available.

We hope that you will join us for an informative and enjoyable way to network with other HR professionals, meet new people and learn more about volunteer opportunities for your company.

Saturday December 15th Migration Brewing and Taplister present the second annual Holiday Prefunk. Migration will be inviting 4 other breweries (Pfriem, Gigantic, Breakside, and Burnside) to pour their choice holiday ale accompanied by 45 minutes of their favorite music.
